We are currently seeking Data Privacy Lawyers and certified privacy professionals to work with a variety of Axiom clients across industries, supporting one of the largest privacy teams in the UK on flexible in‑house engagements.
Responsibilities Provide practical, business‑focused advice on data protection and privacy compliance, including GDPR, UK GDPR, e Privacy, international data transfers, data governance, and related regulatory frameworks.
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements involving data protection and data‑sharing provisions, including DPAs, intra‑group agreements, vendor contracts, technology agreements, and data processing terms.
Lead on key privacy deliverables, including DPIAs, LIAs, data mapping, DSAR responses, privacy notices, records of processing, and internal privacy policies and procedures.
Support the design and implementation of privacy frameworks, data governance programmes, vendor risk processes, and compliance controls, working closely with legal, compliance, product, technology, and business teams.
Minimum Qualifications Qualified lawyer in the UK or an equivalent jurisdiction, or experienced privacy professional with strong data protection, privacy, or information law experience.
Strong working knowledge of core data protection regimes, including GDPR, UK GDPR, e Privacy, and broader privacy, digital, and data‑related regulatory developments.
Experience gained in private practice, in‑house, consulting, or privacy advisory environments, supporting commercial, technology, data‑driven, or regulated organisations.
Solid understanding of the data lifecycle, privacy risk management, data governance, commercial privacy issues, and the ability to deliver clear, pragmatic, business‑focused advice.
