Banking & Finance Lawyer

We are currently seeking Banking & Finance Lawyers to work with a variety of Axiom clients across financial services, investment, real estate, infrastructure, and other industry sectors, supporting a broad range of lending, real estate finance, asset finance, secured finance, and cross‑border financing matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide practical, commercially focused legal advice on banking and finance matters, including general lending, real estate finance, asset finance, secured lending, acquisition finance, refinancing, and cross‑border financing transactions.
• Advise lenders, borrowers, investors, financial institutions, and corporate stakeholders on commercial real estate finance, property development finance, investment finance, asset‑backed lending, receivables finance, and structured lending arrangements.
• Draft, review, and negotiate finance documentation, including loan facility agreements, LMA‑based documentation, security documents, intercreditor agreements, guarantees, ancillary finance documents, and transaction‑related commercial agreements.
• Partner with internal legal, finance, treasury, commercial, risk, investment, property, and external counsel teams to support domestic and international transactions, manage legal risk, and deliver pragmatic advice in fast‑paced deal environments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer eligible to practise in the UK, or equivalent overseas qualification with strong UK banking and finance experience.
• Experience advising on banking and finance transactions, including general lending, real estate finance, property finance, asset finance, secured lending, refinancing, or cross‑border finance matters.
• Strong drafting, review, and negotiation experience across facility agreements, security packages, intercreditor agreements, guarantees, ancillary finance documents, LMA‑based documentation, or other lending documentation.
• Excellent commercial awareness, drafting ability, stakeholder management, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to deliver practical, business‑focused advice to lenders, borrowers, investors, and corporate stakeholders.
