About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Asset Management Inventory Manager to join our Global Technology & Data (GTAD) team. This role is pivotal in shaping and maintaining the operational framework, governance standards, and lifecycle controls that underpin the WS Asset Management function. You will help ensure strict adherence to firmwide policies, deliver high-quality reporting, and execute compliant disposal and shipping events for all off-net, data-bearing assets across your region. This is a hands-on, impact-driven position ideal for someone who excels in structured operations, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration. You will influence global standards, ensure accurate asset accountability, and uphold the integrity of the firm’s asset lifecycle ecosystem.
What You’ll Do
- Operational Leadership & Governance
- Lead regional execution of WS Asset Management operations and ensure full compliance with global policies and procedures.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce frameworks for inventory management, asset governance, and lifecycle controls.
- Support the global adoption of standard inventory tools and firmwide shipping standards.
- Asset Lifecycle & Inventory Control
- Manage local asset disposal and secure shipping events, ensuring all processes meet strict security and compliance standards.
- Remove data-bearing components from firmwide IT assets and prepare them for reuse, shipment, or certified disposal.
- Build accurate asset manifests by capturing serial numbers, chassis and drive identifiers, and other asset-specific data via firm tools.
- Ensure ongoing reconciliations of chain-of-custody documentation across systems (ServiceNow, Deco Tracker, Disk Tracker, inventory platforms, certificates of destruction, etc.).
- Risk, Compliance & Reporting
- Validate the strength and applicability of lifecycle management policies and controls, specifically for non–data center assets.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and document risks and improvement opportunities.
- Collaborate with Assessment, Entitlements, Reporting, and Audit teams to meet regulatory and internal audit expectations.
- Produce clear, comprehensive global reporting aligned to PM Asset Management functions.
- Lead or co-own assigned programs and operational workstreams.
- Stakeholder Engagement & Site Oversight
- Participate in global team communications and represent regional needs and updates.
- Conduct on-site visits to logistics vendors and firm locations as required.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders at all levels—technical teams, business groups, and management.
What You Bring
- Core Competencies
- Exceptional attention to detail and strict process discipline.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without formal authority.
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, and executive presentation).
- Self-starter mindset with the ability to drive clarity, direction, and outcomes independently.
- Technical & Functional Expertise
- Knowledge of IT hardware asset management or prior experience in asset lifecycle roles.
- Strong analytical mindset with a track record of problem-solving.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio).
- Experience with data manipulation, automation, or advanced Excel functionality is a strong advantage.
- Relationship & Collaboration Skills
- Skilled in building credibility quickly and fostering collaboration across global teams.
- Ability to identify key stakeholders and maintain productive cross-functional partnerships.
