Job description:
Key Responsibilities:
- Microsoft Power Platform Administration:
- Deploy, configure, and manage policies for Microsoft Power Platform applications (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate).
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance, ensuring the security, reliability, and performance of Power Platform environments.
- Monitor usage and compliance, ensuring governance standards are met across all Power Platform solutions.
- Assist business users with best practices for app development, data modeling, and workflow automation in Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Power Platform services, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Microsoft 365 Administration:
- Manage and maintain Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, etc.).
- Apply patches and updates for Microsoft 365, ensuring systems remain secure and up-to-date.
- Configure and enforce security and compliance policies across the MS 365 suite (e.g., data loss prevention, retention policies).
- Perform user and license management within the Microsoft 365 environment, ensuring smooth provisioning and deprovisioning of accounts and permissions.
- Ensure MS 365 applications (Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, etc.) are optimized for performance and security.
- Maintenance and Patch Management:
- Regularly apply security patches and updates to Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 services, ensuring they remain secure and compliant with organizational policies.
- Perform routine health checks and system optimizations for both environments to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of services.
- Collaborate with internal teams to schedule downtime and communicate patching efforts to minimize user disruption.
- Policy Configuration & Governance:
- Define, deploy, and maintain governance policies and frameworks within Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365.
- Ensure compliance with security best practices, industry regulations, and internal policies in all configuration and governance activities.
- Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) and manage user permissions to enforce secure, scalable solutions.
- Collaboration & Support:
- Provide support to end-users by troubleshooting issues and providing technical assistance with Power Platform and Microsoft 365 services.
- Work closely with IT, development, and business teams to ensure alignment of Power Platform solutions with organizational goals and objectives.
- Stay up-to-date with new features and enhancements within the Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 ecosystem to help drive continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Microsoft Administrator, with hands-on expertise in managing Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate) and Microsoft 365 services.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration tools and best practices, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and security features.
- Experience in deploying, configuring, and managing policies within Microsoft Power Platform and MS 365.
- Understanding of patch management processes, security updates, and maintenance of Microsoft environments.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues across multiple platforms.
