Location: Remote - Europe / UK

Role Overview: We are seeking a DLP & Insider Threat Specialist to assist our client in assessing, designing, and implementing a comprehensive insider threat and data loss prevention program. The current monitoring and controls are minimal, offering a unique opportunity to shape this critical domain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current insider threat monitoring, including people, tools, policies, and processes.
  • Define a roadmap to improve visibility, detection, and prevention of insider threats and data leaks.
  • Identify suitable DLP technologies across endpoints, email, cloud, and network controls.
  • Support deployment of Insider Threat Management platforms (e.g., Microsoft Purview, Forcepoint, Proofpoint, DTEX, Egress).
  • Develop operational processes for detection, triage, escalation, investigation, and response.
  • Create awareness and training programs to address human factors.
  • Establish KPIs, reporting mechanisms, and integrate with SIEM/SOC operations.
  • Collaborate with HR, Legal, and IT to ensure privacy and regulatory compliance.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 8+ years of cybersecurity experience, with 2–3 years in DLP or Insider Threat programs.
  • Experience designing and operationalising DLP and insider threat capabilities in medium to large organisations.
  • Understanding of regulatory and privacy considerations in employee monitoring across jurisdictions like the EU and US.
  • Knowledge of behavioural analytics and data classification strategies.
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Purview, Symantec DLP, Forcepoint, etc.
  • Familiarity with risks in gambling and gaming sectors, such as insider betting, IP theft, and customer data leakage, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent analytical, stakeholder engagement, and documentation skills.
