We are currently looking for a motivated and customer-focused Export Customer Service professional to join our client’s expanding team based in Laindon, Essex.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am – 17:30pm

Export Customer Service Role Overview:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for export customers, ensuring exceptional service throughout the shipping process
  • Provide timely updates on shipments, documentation, and transit status
  • Liaise with internal departments, carriers, and overseas agents to resolve queries and issues efficiently
  • Manage and process customer requests, bookings, and follow-ups with a proactive and helpful approach
  • Use in-house systems and Microsoft Office tools to track and manage export files
  • Ensure all customer interactions and documentation meet compliance and service standards
  • Assist in maintaining KPIs and promoting customer satisfaction

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in a customer service role
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in IT systems and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • A problem-solving attitude and ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management
  • A good understanding of the export process (preferred but not essential – training provided)
