We are seeking an experienced Surgical Neurophysiologist to join our growing team. In this full‑time, on‑site role, you will provide comprehensive intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring across a range of surgical specialties. You will work closely with surgeons, anaesthetists, and theatre teams to support complex cases, ensure neural pathway integrity, and contribute to improved patient outcomes.

The role is primarily based in London, with occasional travel to other UK sites as required.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality intraoperative monitoring for spinal, neurosurgical, ENT, cardiac, and complex procedures.
  • Perform and interpret multimodal monitoring including MEPs, SEPs, EMG, EEG, D‑Wave, BCR, and Cortical Mapping.
  • Work collaboratively with theatre teams to support real‑time surgical decision‑making.
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to AxIOM governance and safety standards.
  • Uphold best practice guidelines, patient safety principles, and professional conduct at all times.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development, training, and internal quality programmes.

Qualifications and experience

  • Expertise in neurophysiology with proven competency in intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring.
  • Strong understanding of spinal and neurosurgical procedures and associated monitoring protocols.
  • Prior experience working in IOM is essential.
  • Excellent communication, situational awareness, and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to respond calmly and decisively under pressure.
  • Commitment to patient safety, precision, and high clinical standards.
  • Relevant neurophysiology training, specialist certification, or equivalent clinical experience is highly advantageous.

Salary and benefits

  • Salary: ÂŁ50,000 to ÂŁ65,000 dependent on experience, plus bonus schemes.
