The Guardsman is a new 59 room, luxury hotel in St. James's. Alongside these rooms are six residences intended for longer-term stays. With the scale, familiarity and feel of a club, The Guardsman is a home from home that will inspire both loyalty and longer stays. The hotel has an unmistakably British feel that befits its proximity to such iconic landmarks as Buckingham Palace and The Palace of Westminster. The interiors have a bright, modern and relaxed feel that is lent a very British character with a few, carefully chosen, traditional and quirky embellishments.

The company is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Manager to join our Truly Talented team. As a Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for the upkeep, maintenance, and management of all areas of the hotel, including energy conservation. You will use your leadership skills to inspire your team and provide a seamless guest experience every time.

Your role:

The role requires someone who will be hands-on with repair and general maintenance. You will meet time deadlines, liaise with contractors and take responsibility for health and safety on the property. The right candidate must be organised, a good communicator, and a hands-on manager. If you are passionate about hospitality and have a keen eye for attention to detail, then we would love to hear from you.

  • Highly self-motivated, confident, decisive, and able to work with limited supervision
  • Attention to the smallest details
  • Good understanding of compliance in hospitality and hotels
  • Ability to build and maintain a strong relationship with suppliers

  • Knowledge of electrics and health and safety
  • Computer literacy is also key for the compliance and audit part of the role
