We’re looking for a Waste Operative to join our team in Daventry to support day-to-day site operations and help deliver efficient, compliant waste management services. Whether you already have experience in waste management or come from a health & safety or site operations background, we’ll provide the training and support you need to succeed.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with customers, site staff and our operations team to keep waste activities running smoothly while maintaining excellent health, safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Exchange and manage 1100L wheelie bins across site for General Waste and Dry Mixed Recycling
  • Return full bins to the waste compound for sorting and processing
  • Carry out daily pre-use inspections on machinery and vehicles
  • Monitor waste levels around site and arrange collections or exchanges as required
  • Ensure waste streams are segregated, managed and stored correctly
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe waste compound
  • Communicate effectively with customers, site personnel, contract managers and colleagues
  • Report near misses, incidents and accidents through the reporting system
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
  • Promote a positive health, safety and environmental culture at all times
Hours of Work

Monday to Friday, 15:00pm - 23:00pm.

Essential / Desirable Experience
  • FLT licence (preferred)
  • Towing experience (preferred)
  • Background in waste management, health & safety or site operations (preferred)
  • Basic IT skills
  • Manual handling experience (training provided if required)
