As a Senior Account Executive at Axicom, you will work with leading consumer technology businesses who are shaping how we live and work. This role is perfect for an ambitious individual a few years into their PR career, who is looking to become a consumer technology specialist. You’ll be working with a team launching the latest smartphones and fitness tech products and delivering creative press office and campaign stories across gaming and smart home brands.
We’re looking for someone who has a passion for the tech space, so if you are a gamer, a gadget nerd or just someone who loves working in the consumer tech landscape this is the role for you. Someone who loves the thrill of securing coverage in today’s media landscape, is always reading the newest substack or hunting out the latest YouTuber for their clients, enjoys heading to trade shows across the world and who has the attention to detail and creative mindset to deliver stand out events, experiences and campaigns and wants to be part of a team that always goes the extra mile.
What you'll do:
- Media relations: Own media relationships with consumer technology, lifestyle and national press, building on relationships you already have and establishing new ones.
- Writing: Write press releases, media pitches and develop smart content for your clients.
- Client communications: Build relationships with clients, speaking to them regularly as the main point of contact on specific projects.
- Proactivity: Spot media opportunities, cultural trends and points of interest for your clients.
- Account organisation: Help your team keep accounts organised and update clients in timely ways.
- Media interest: Foster an interest in the UK media landscape.
- Team player: Play an active and helpful part in client teams and broader Axicom initiatives.
Experience that contributes to success:
- Established early career PR experience, two years or more experience across the consumer lifestyle or consumer technology sectors.
- A strong interest in the UK consumer technology landscape and UK media.
- Proven ability to execute and manage media sell ins, work on multiple clients and strong interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks at any one time and excellent time management skills.
- Solid writing skills with experience in writing press materials.
- Energetic and passionate about PR & communications.
- High levels of Intelligence, Initiative, and Integrity, with an ambition to create award-winning work.
