More about the role: As an Account Director /Senior Account Director in our PR team you will be heading up business and cyber technology accounts for some of the biggest businesses in this space. We are looking for someone with deep knowledge of B2B technology comms and the cyber landscape and who can lead a team to deliver outstanding work for clients who are the industry leaders in this space. You’ll be someone who thrives in fast paced environments and experienced in working with globally recognised businesses who lead their fields and expect their communications to as well. We treat our Account Directors as both client and business leaders, expecting strong client counsel, energetic and committed team leadership, ambition to create award-winning work, and a consistent commitment to day-to-day excellence.

What you'll do:

  • Trusted client counsel: Serve as the trusted senior point of contact for clients, providing strategic counsel and developing a comprehensive understanding of client objectives and industry.
  • Planning and Creativity: Know what gets cut through in the business and cyber space and be able to develop and deliver creative storytelling that lands great coverage and content.
  • Day to day leader & Quality control: Direct overall account activity, ensuring seamless execution, brilliant delivery, and consistently high levels of client service.
  • Team leader: Provide clear direction, motivate, and foster the professional growth of your team members, embodying strong leadership qualities.
  • Proactivity: Drive innovative execution for day to day press office work and campaigns.
  • Confident problem solver: Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills, confidently challenging senior members and/or clients in pursuit of strategic integrity.
  • Team player: Play an active and helpful part in client teams and broader Axicom initiatives, demonstrating effective time management and acting as an agency ambassador.
  • Media Knowledge: You’ll have a nose for news and know how to develop excellent and insightful media strategies.

Experience that contributes to success:

  • Established B2B Tech Account Director experience, ideally with cyber experience.
  • A strong understanding of how to build and deliver effective media strategies for the new media era.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cyber and security tech, media tech and enterprise technology with a 'nose for news'.
  • A robust network of relevant media contacts.
  • Proven ability to manage fast-paced, ambitious clients and dynamic portfolios, providing exceptional client counsel.
  • Energetic and committed team leadership experience, capable of inspiring and motivating teams.
  • High levels of Intelligence, Initiative, and Integrity, with an ambition to create award-winning work.
