As an internal support team for Vinci Energies UK & ROI, we have a new opportunity for a technically focused person for an IT Support Engineer to join our technical team. This is a UK based role with 30 offices situated around the UK & ROI, supporting a range of software and hardware.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Taking initial day to day calls
- Raise tickets
- Password resets
- Check through the day and log calls in the Support Mailbox
- Check Nagios – reporting anything
- Setup new starter accounts
- Go through the process for any new starters – Profile Setup / IAM / Homepage / Outlook / Skype / Printers / Map Drives/Teams etc.
- Process leaver accounts
- Ordering phones / SIMs (Data or Voice)
- HP laptop / desktop orders including accessories
- Requests for quotes for laptop / desktop (HP) / phone pricing
- User printer setups, drive mapping
- Laptop / desktop build
- Laptop / desktop upgrade – Memory / Hard Drives
- Off the shelf software / application installs
- Ordering from CDW (Licenses)
- Backup and file restore
- Desktop/end user break fix support
- Being a project based company, timesheets are a key element at monitoring costs
Technical requirements are essential with a number of years’ experience:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Core Stack
- Proven experience with Desktop & Server solutions across the Microsoft stack
- WiFi solution experience & knowledge, with Cisco etc.
- Candidates with Microsoft Certifications would prove advantageous
- Active Directory
- Windows 10
- Office 365
- Hyper V
- Backup technologies: VEEAM
- Experience with Solar Winds Server and Applications Monitoring software would prove advantageous
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuring own and teams adherence to Axians’ Management System Manual for Quality (ISO 9001), InfoSec (ISO 27001) and ESG (ISO 14001)
