Responsible for project operational delivery, ensuring efficient running and effective management of resources whilst achieving excellence in Safety and Quality all in compliance with Company BMS. Able to work and have overall supervisory control on projects with numerous operatives, subcontract involvement, multiple rigs and techniques. Able to determine and brief roles and responsibilities of site field team (including other supervisory staff) and maintain good relationships with BSL management and operatives, the Client, sub-contractors and 3rd parties.
Key Tasks
- Mentor and develop Chargehands and Trainee Supervisors
- Be the site works supervisory lead for all site activities or ensure works are supervised by a Chargehand
- Lead on-site production, health and safety, sustainability, quality and efficiency
- Generate and maintain excellent working relationships with the client
- Generate plant and equipment requirements and order through the plant yard and procurement
- Ensure site team roles and responsibilities are communicated and understood
- Ensure site team understand the relevant site documentation
- Generate site layout plans for Project Managers
- Plan and sequence work, both the day-to-day site activities and the strategic lookahead for the project as a whole
- Drive productivity whilst not compromising safety and quality
- Ensuring accuracy of production recording, and input daily production and journal data into TiPS
- Ensure site records/documentation are stored on Woodstock
- Hold daily afternoon Supervisor Meeting with subcontractors and client
- Pre-plan next project with other staff whilst completing current project

- Maintain Health and Safety as the primary focus of all activities on site
- Confidence and willingness to stop works where health and safety is compromised until improvements are implemented and RAMS/Lift plans etc updated
- Must promote enthusiasm among the team and be able to gain respect of the workforce and have the ability to listen to ideas and obtain feedback
- Must be able to communicate ideas and concepts effectively to operatives and clients
- Must be confident when presenting tool box talks and briefings to a large group of employees
- Be self-motivated and be able to work with limited direct management, must be able to use their own initiative and judgement
- Be able to maintain relationship with client, project manager, contracts manager, workforce and others contractors on site
- Flexibility – Has to be prepared to work anywhere within the UK to suit the company’s needs
- Be able to follow procedures, identify, utilise and promote best practice according to Quality procedures
