Our OB/GYN practice is hiring a Patient Service Representative (PSR). Hours: 9-5 PM and 1 alternating night 12-7:30 PM on a Monday or Wednesday.

  • Greeting patients and visitors, assisting, and directing them accordingly to the appropriate waiting area.
  • Paging or phoning appropriate personnel to meet and escort patients to the exam room.
  • Explaining financial requirements to patients, collecting, and recording copayments as required.
  • Performing registration functions for new and existing patients and activating patient files.
  • Promptly and professionally answering and routing calls to appropriate personnel, paging, offering voicemail, or redirecting calls as needed.
  • Retrieving and appropriately routing any messages from the answering service.
  • Providing additional support to patients and medical staff and performing other duties as assigned.
  • Courteously screening solicitors for relevance to organizational needs.
  • Adhering to infection control and safety guidelines as well as maintaining confidentiality regarding all patients and following confidentiality policies per HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Medical Receptionist/PSR experience preferred.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  • Ability to maintain composure and navigate a fast-paced, innovative environment.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week including some evening hours.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and provide coverage at satellite location(s), where applicable, as needed.
