Risk Analyst (Operational)

Axia-Search are working with a well-established, FCA-regulated asset management firm managing tens of billions of pounds on behalf of institutional pension fund clients. As part of a continued investment in their risk function, they're looking for an Enterprise/Operational Risk Analyst to join their second-line risk team.

Hybrid working is available.

The role:

• Maintain and operate the firm's enterprise risk management framework, including risk registers, control monitoring, and reporting
• Support the design and embedding of risk policies, procedures, and assurance frameworks across the business
• Identify, assess, and quantify operational and enterprise risk scenarios, escalating where appropriate
• Provide clear, pragmatic risk advice to the business, working closely with the Enterprise Risk Manager
• Produce accurate, timely risk reports and presentations for senior stakeholders, including senior leadership and the risk and audit committee
• Support internal and external audit activity and regulatory reporting
• Work across functions to embed a strong risk culture into day-to-day decision-making
• Build effective relationships with auditors, assurance providers, and other external stakeholders
• Communicate complex risk matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences

What we're looking for:

• Degree qualified (or equivalent experience); a recognised risk management qualification (e.g. IRM) is a plus
• 2+ years experience within operational / enterprise risk.
• Strong reasoning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop pragmatic solutions to complex issues
• Excellent report-writing and presentation skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
• Understanding of risk governance frameworks in asset management and the three lines of defence model
• Ability to identify, assess, and quantify operational and enterprise risk
• Experience in asset management or wider financial services is preferred
