AXIA continues to expand its trading activities and we are determined to develop the next generation of world class Elite traders with our proprietary training methodologies and leading edge learning frameworks. We are currently looking for junior traders to join our trading floor in our London office, to develop and train our spread trading team, solely on short term interest rates and commodities. The position is to be filled as soon as possible. This role is exclusively performance based. As a graduate, there is no salary during the phase of training, until you can prove your performance and pass the tests to become a funded trader. It is crucial to have a financial support system in place during the learning phase which can last 12 to 18 months.
Your Tasks:
- Build your daily trading skills: plan, develop, execute and improve your trading strategies in the futures markets, while learning best practices from Axia’s traders.
- Learn Axia's strategies from an experienced trading mentor.
- Continuously analyse market conditions to stay tuned with the current trends.
- Using quantitative analysis, perform research to develop new trading strategies in order to leverage opportunities.
- Follow Axia’s courses and guidelines to enhance your trading skills.
- Work in collaboration with other traders to fasten your learning experience.
What we are looking for:
- University educated or in final year of graduation.
- Preferred degrees: Finance, Mathematics, Sciences, Engineering, Economics.
- UK national, or valid permit to work and reside in the UK.
- Ability to commute to the office daily.
- Futures trading experience / knowledge preferred.
- Macroeconomics and markets knowledge preferred.
- Quantitative knowledge ideal.
Qualitative requirements:
- The most committed, hungry and driven trader.
- A strong team member who is willing to be challenged in a transparent and collaborative work environment.
- A trader who understands that first 2 years may not earn him any performance fee as s/he develops key skills as a futures day trader.
- Be dedicated to learn all the AXIA knowledge space over a two year period.
- A trader who is open to constructive feedback and is willing to make the adjustments to improve performance.
- A trader who is willing to push outside their comfort zone on a daily basis.
- The ability to quickly reset after a setback and the willingness to learn alternative coping mechanisms and tools for mindset resets in an accelerated manner.
- Shown a history of coming back from failures and becoming better.
- Previous track records in sport or other high discipline pursuits such as chess and/or gaming at a high level will be given extra consideration.
