Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrical Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed electrical designs and schematics for various projects. This role requires proficiency in industry-standard software and a strong understanding of electrical systems. The Electrical Designer will collaborate with Engineers and other design professionals to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and regulatory standards.
We would also consider Electrical Designers on a contract basis.
Job Details
- Liaise with clients and contractors/installation teams, on and off site.
- Adhere to client applicable standards and processes.
- Prepare Electrical Engineering documentation, inclusive of drawings, electrical calculations, schedules, technical reports and risk assessments.
- Ensure electrical design work and installation conforms to standards, regulations and Health & Safety.
- Coordinate electrical documentation with that produced by other disciplines to ensure inter-discipline compatibility.
- Provide necessary engineering inputs to other disciplines and departments.
- Plan personal workload to ensure deliverables are met on time, on budget and in accordance with the company and project HSEQ systems.
- Ability to accurately estimate time required to complete drawings and documentation for a project.
- Provide weekly project and workload progress updates.
- Undertake site surveys on their own with or without client supervision.
- Attendance of project meetings, both in office and on site, when required.
- A willingness to always look for personal, company and system improvements.
- Keep up to date with technical developments and design standards.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Proficient in AutoCAD and Trimble software.
- Strong understanding of electrical design principles and practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
