Class 2 Driver

Looking for class 2 drivers for my client in Glasgow Ongoing work. Must have a minimum of 6 months experience. You will delivering to stores lots of handballing involved.

Class 2 DriverResponsibilities

• Operate Class 2 vehicles delivering to cash and carrys
• Handballing into stores
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain high standards of safety and customer service.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing methods are used to prevent damage during transit.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation as required by company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving on public roads.
• Report any vehicle maintenance issues or accidents immediately to management.

Class 2 DriverQualifications

• Valid commercial driving licence (C or equivalent) with a clean driving record.
• Experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to undergo background checks as part of the hiring process.
