GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES

To provide a variety of diagnostic and therapeutic services, including individual and group therapy, to residential clients with substance use disorders. Must complete all related documentation in a timely manner as defined by counseling department requirements.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assess and diagnose residential clients that have a substance use disorder.
  • Develop, implement, and update Individual Service Plans as defined in the State of Ohio and FCS regulations.
  • Provide individual, group, and/or family counseling to residential clients.
  • Maintain client records in accordance with the State of Ohio regulations and FCS policy/procedure.
  • At a minimum, achieve and maintain the Agency’s established productivity standards.
  • Make referrals to other services within the community and within the Agency as indicated.
  • Maintain current knowledge of all applicable FCS policies/procedures and function according to these standards.
  • Comply with COA regulations, federal and state requirements, and educational/certification/registry requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS Requirements

  • An Associate’s degree or relevant experience.
  • Must have a minimum of High School Diploma/GED.
  • Must hold a minimum of CDCA, LICDC, LPC, LPCC, LSW or LISW licensure from the State of Ohio.
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
  • Must be able to meet agency requirements for criminal background check.

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL/LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS

An active Ohio-issued CDCA, LICDC, LPC, LPCC, LSW, or LISW is required, along with a minimum of an associate degree or relevant work experience in the field.
