As Maintenance Technician Electrical you will maintain and repair all production equipment to ensure that all equipment is operating effectively and safely to minimize equipment downtime.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform corrective and preventive mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Repair production, processing, and utility-related equipment.
- Support the installation of new equipment.
- Document all repairs and maintenance activities.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and neat work area.
- Complete all paperwork accurately and promptly.
- Participate in the BOPEX (continuous improvement) program.
- Comply with all applicable procedures, regulations, and policies.
- Report and stop unsafe operations, using mandatory PPE as defined.
- Offer flexibility in working hours based on business needs, including on-call work outside regular hours.
Master recherché:
- Relevant industry experience, preferably in malting/milling or heavy industrial environments involving large capacity grain/cereal handling, conveying, elevating, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.
- Mechanical and electrical skills and knowledge.
- Proficiency in reading wiring diagrams and fault finding.
- Operational and fault-finding knowledge of PLC and inverter control.
- Ability to test and identify motor and wiring faults.
- Electrical installation experience and relevant qualifications.
- Basic knowledge of Health & Safety protocols, including Lock Out Tag Out/Safe Isolation, Working at Height, Permit to Work, Confined Space, ATEX/DSEAR, etc.
- Shift work experience, preferably 12-hour continental shifts.
- Ability to work independently within a small shift team (1 x electrical, 1 x mechanical).
- Ability to provide basic hand tools; site-specific or specialist tools and equipment will be provided.
