Are you at the start of your career in media, advertising or sales, and looking for a role with real international exposure? We are looking for a motivated, German-speaking Junior Account Executive to support our International Sales Team in our London office. This is a 12-month fixed-term position and would suit someone with some relevant experience, or strong internship experience, in advertising, media, marketing or sales, who wants to build a career in international advertising sales and gain hands-on experience with one of Europe’s leading digital publishers.

Within Media Impact, Axel Springer’s dedicated sales house for Germany, our International Sales Team works with agencies and advertisers outside Germany who want to reach German audiences through trusted, high-quality media brands. Together with colleagues in Berlin, London and other international markets, you support the development of client relationships and gain valuable experience in international advertising sales. We believe in the future of journalism as a business model and invest in forward-looking technologies. Our five essentials are the values that unite us and guide us in our commitment to freedom.

How you'll make an impact:

  • Coordinate pricing requests and maintain accurate client data in Salesforce to ensure transparent and efficient processes.
  • Monitor campaign performances and evaluate ad server data to identify optimisation opportunities.
  • Support the team at both direct and programmatic client briefs to help advance sales opportunities.
  • Effectively research agencies, brands as well as new business opportunities and prepare reports to optimise advertising results.
  • Prepare client meetings, presentations and media proposals to create compelling sales materials.
  • Build relationships with selected clients and agencies through in-person engagements in close collaboration with the sales team.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in Germany and across international markets to contribute to projects that drive sustainable growth.

What you'll need:

  • Initial professional experience or relevant internships in media, advertising, marketing, sales or a related field.
  • Genuine interest in digital advertising, media brands and international client work.
  • Confident use of PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and AI-supported tools in a professional environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail.
  • A proactive, reliable and solution-oriented approach to work.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • The right to work in the UK, for example through settled or pre-settled status, UK citizenship or another valid visa. Please note that we are unable to sponsor visa applications for this role.

What we offer:

  • An attractive and modern workplace with good transport connections in the East of London.
  • Training opportunities to develop your knowledge of digital advertising and media sales.
  • The chance to work with some of Germany’s strongest media brands.
  • An international, motivated and experienced team with room to learn and grow.
  • Exposure to agencies, advertisers and colleagues across different markets.
  • We offer a 12-month fixed-term position in full-time.

Diversity is an essential part of our corporate culture! We are looking forward to receiving all applications regardless of gender, nationality, ethnic and social origin, religion, ideology, disability, age, sexual orientation and identity.
