Axel Group Ltd is a rapidly growing construction, roofing and refurbishment contractor delivering commercial projects across the UK.

As our business continues to expand, we’re looking for an organised, proactive and motivated Construction & Projects Administrator to join our Peterborough office.

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive and ambitious team where you’ll work closely with our directors, project managers and site teams, helping to keep projects organised, compliant and running efficiently from start to finish.

The Role

As Construction & Projects Administrator, you’ll play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operation of our live projects. Responsibilities will include:

  • Producing letters, reports and project documentation.
  • Supporting project managers and site teams with project administration.
  • Managing document control and electronic filing systems.
  • Preparing site start-up and project handover documentation.
  • Assisting with health & safety documentation and compliance records.
  • Maintaining employee training records and arranging courses including CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid.
  • Ordering PPE, workwear and office/site supplies.
  • Coordinating meetings, travel and accommodation where required.
  • Supporting directors with project documentation and reporting.
  • Assisting with warranties, registrations and compliance paperwork.
  • Providing general administrative support across multiple live construction projects.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has

  • Previous administration experience (construction experience is advantageous but not essential).
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence dealing with colleagues, clients and site teams.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
