Job purpose, tasks and responsibilities

As our Non-Life Insurance Analyst, your solid insurance experience and strong analytic skills will be a great addition to our fantastic team of insurance professionals all of whom have an in-depth knowledge of local markets, practices, and regulations to make them true subject matter experts.

You will work alongside some amazing people, undertaking online research for a wide range of insurance topics which are then delivered to our clients in various output formats. This team focus is Non-Life insurance reporting on a multitude of existing and emerging risks and changes impacting the insurance industry globally.

Responsibilities include, but aren\’t limited to;

  • Working with a group of external consultants to ensure timely & accurate updates of our Non-Life Insurance products. This includes staying abreast of regulatory & legislative changes globally resulting in editing and/or updating our content to incorporate the latest market developments.
  • Researching and analysing a focused set of markets to build up expertise in local insurance regulation.
  • Conducting web-based research using a variety of insurance related sources.
  • Understanding regulatory changes and creating concise & timely summaries alerting our clients to such events.
  • Responding to client enquiries as they arise.
  • Collaborating with various internal and external teams to deliver tailored solutions as part of ad hoc projects.

Essential and desirable capabilities

We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.

You will also need;

  • Excellent technical understanding of Non-Life insurance (previous insurance experience with relevant lines of business)
  • Previous experience with multinational programmes is desirable.
  • Knowledge of general insurance topics such as reinsurance, captives, preferred but not required.
  • Ability to assimilate large amounts of data and produce concise and accurate summaries in an appropriate format.
  • Ability to undertake web-based research, understand and interpret legal text, write and proof-read.
  • Excellent communication and social skills with the ability to build strong relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
