Axcis Education are looking for a full time, permanent Complex Needs Support Assistant from 1st of December. The role is supporting within the primary and secondary department within an all-through PMLD school near Totnes. The school has an outstanding reputation in the community, with excellent facilities and an engaging, children-centred approach.
About the Role
- Start Date: 1st December 2026.
- Pay: £18,500-£22,200, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Job Type: Permanent (Temp to Perm)
- Hours: 8.50-3.10
Requirements
- Experience working with children or in some form of care would be desirable but not essential.
- Proactive, positive attitude
- Ability to use initiative and contribute effectively to the team
- Enthusiasm for supporting students who are pre-verbal and non-verbal.
Role Responsibilities
- Support learning and development through planned and spontaneous activities
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with other staff members and follow school policies
- Provide tailored support to meet the needs of children with profound and multiple learning difficulties
