We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our supportive team. This is a full-time position working 1:1 with pupils in Years 7–10 who have Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD) and/or physical disabilities. The role involves working under the guidance of the school's SENDCo (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Coordinator).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 support to students with SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities)
  • Assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in school life
  • Implement and support personalised learning plans under the direction of the SENDCo
  • Contribute to the inclusive ethos and positive learning environment of the school

Requirements:

  • Essential: Experience working with children or young people with SEND
  • Desirable: Previous experience in a classroom or educational setting
