Location: Mainstream Primary School, Hillingdon (near West Drayton Station) Start Date: September 2025 Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM – 4:00 PM Axcis Education is currently recruiting for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic mainstream primary school in Hillingdon. Conveniently located near West Drayton station, this full-time role is set to begin in September 2025 and will run for the entire academic year. A competitive daily rate is on offer for the right candidate. About the Role: You will be providing 1:1 support for primary-aged students with ADHD and Autism, working closely with the class teacher to ensure a positive and productive learning environment. The role requires someone who is patient, proactive, and experienced in SEN support within mainstream settings. Key Responsibilities: -Provide 1:1 support to students with ADHD and non-verbal Autism -Assist in implementing PECS or Makaton as communication tools -Help manage challenging behaviour and encourage positive interactions -Foster a nurturing and supportive classroom environment -Collaborate with staff and parents to support pupil progress Requirements: -DBS on the Update Service -Proficiency in PECS or Makaton is highly desirable -UK-based experience supporting children with ADHD and Autism in a mainstream school -Strong behaviour management skills and ability to set clear boundaries -Experience with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) is a plus -Kind, patient, and proactive with excellent communication skills -Full-time availability – Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM – 4:00 PM This is a fantastic opportunity to join a reputable and welcoming school community, making a real impact in the lives of children who need tailored support.
