We are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join a specialist school in Truro, supporting secondary-aged pupils with a range of additional and complex learning needs. The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to help pupils get the most from their education.
- Supporting pupils with their learning and development
- Providing one-to-one and small-group support where needed
- Helping pupils to develop confidence, independence and social skills
- Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
- Supporting pupils with a range of SEND and individual needs
- Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils
- Working as part of a supportive and experienced team
About You
We are looking for someone who is patient, nurturing and resilient, with a genuine desire to make a difference to young people's lives.
Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is essential, ideally within a school or specialist setting. Experience supporting pupils with complex learning needs would be particularly beneficial. You don't need to have all the answers - we're looking for someone who is willing to learn, gets to know each pupil as an individual and is committed to helping them succeed.

Location: Truro Full-time | Monday-Friday | 8:30am-3:30pm Β£94-Β£98 per day
