We are currently recruiting for a flexible and enthusiastic Primary Supply Teacher to work within a welcoming and inclusive primary school within LEO Academy Trust in Sutton. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified teacher looking for ad-hoc supply teaching and regular weekly supply shifts, with the potential for the role to develop into a long-term or full-time position.

The Role

  • Provide day-to-day and weekly supply cover across KS1 and KS2.
  • Deliver engaging and well-structured lessons following school planning.
  • Create a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
  • Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and school staff.
  • Adapt quickly to different classes, year groups and pupil needs.
  • Use Google Classroom and other educational technology to support learning.
  • Follow school policies, safeguarding procedures and expectations.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Previous experience teaching within a UK primary school.
  • Confidence teaching KS1 and/or KS2.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Comfortable using Google Classroom, or willing to quickly learn the platform.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
  • Flexible, reliable and adaptable approach to supply teaching.
