Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant - Sutton
Location: Sutton
Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday
Pay: £97 per day
PAYE Start: ASAP - school would like to arrange a trial
A welcoming mainstream primary school in Sutton is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with SEMH needs. The successful candidate will be patient, consistent and confident in managing behaviour, while providing positive and supportive 1:1 guidance throughout the school day.
The school is keen to meet candidates as soon as possible and would like to arrange a trial before confirming the placement.
- Experience supporting children with SEMH and/or challenging behaviour
- Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
- A good understanding of the primary school curriculum
- The ability to build a positive relationship with the pupil
- Good initiative and the confidence to adapt support to the pupil’s needs
- Experience working on a 1:1 basis in a school setting
- A patient, reliable and proactive approach
