We are looking for an experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team and provide high quality support to pupils in a Resource Base in a primary school in Swindon in September.
The successful candidate for this job must have qualifications and/or experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), as well as experience of Makaton and personal care.
The post is a part time role on a term time only basis from 8:30am to 3:30pm.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing effective learning, physical, personal care and social support for pupils in the resource base
- Supporting staff in the classroom setting
- Promoting positive behaviour
The successful applicant will be expected to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to empathise and motivate.
