We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant for a specialised 2:1 basis role supporting one student within a mainstream primary school setting in the SK7 postcode area (Stockport). This position requires an immediate, reliable commitment.

Pay & Schedule

  • Rate: £100 – £115 per day (dependent on experience)
  • Days: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: Full-Time (Approx. 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
  • Availability: Full-time only. We cannot accommodate part-time hours, split weeks, or flexible scheduling for this role. No exceptions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Dual Support: Work on a strict 2:1 ratio, providing targeted academic, social, and emotional support to one specific pupil.
  • Behaviour & Engagement: Implement tailored learning plans, manage classroom behaviour, and keep both students focused and engaged during lessons.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the class teacher and Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo) to track progress and adjust support strategies.

What We Are Looking For

  • Experience: Previous experience working as a teaching assistant, mental health support, or support worker ideally supporting children with additional needs (SEN) or behavioural challenges.
  • Traits: High energy, patience, firm boundaries, and the ability to balance the dynamics of supporting two students simultaneously.
  • Location: Ability to reliably commute to the SK7 area daily.
