Are you an experienced and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity this September? A well-established all-through special needs school in Woodford Green is seeking a skilled TA to join their dedicated team.

About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working across a range of age groups, supporting non-verbal students and learners with significant communication and developmental needs. You\’ll work closely with class teachers and therapists to implement personalised learning and communication strategies that help each student thrive.
What We\’re Looking For
- Proven experience in an SEN setting (school or alternative provision)
- Confidence working with non-verbal students across various age groups
- Familiarity with PECS and/or Makaton is highly desirable
- Patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one to one and small group support tailored to individual learning and communication needs
- Assist with the delivery of structured, engaging activities
- Support emotional regulation and promote student independence
- Help maintain a calm, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
