About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who require additional support to access learning and make progress. The role will involve a combination of 1:1 support and small group intervention work, helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally. You will work alongside teachers and other support staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment, encouraging independence, resilience, and confidence. The school offers a rich and varied curriculum, including outdoor learning opportunities and a strong focus on wellbeing, making it a rewarding environment in which to support young learners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 support for pupils with additional learning needs
- Deliver small group interventions to reinforce learning and key skills
- Support children with engagement, behaviour, and emotional wellbeing
- Adapt activities and resources to meet individual needs
- Encourage independence, confidence, and positive relationships
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEND staff, and families
- Maintain high standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare

- A patient, positive, and reliable individual
- Experience working with children or young people (education, care, youth work, coaching, or similar)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
