Axcis Education is working in partnership with a welcoming primary school in Bedminster, Bristol, to recruit a full-time SEND Teaching Assistant for the full academic year starting in September. This rewarding role is based within the school’s Specialist Resource Base, which supports primary-aged pupils with Speech and Language delays, Autism, and associated communication needs. The resource base provides a structured, nurturing environment where children receive tailored support to help them access learning, develop confidence and reach their full potential.
About the Role
- Support primary-aged pupils within the school’s Specialist Resource Base
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with Speech and Language needs, Autism and communication difficulties
- Deliver targeted interventions to develop pupils’ communication, social interaction and independence
- Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, Speech and Language Therapists and other professionals to implement personalised support plans
- Create a calm, structured and engaging learning environment where every child feels supported to succeed
- Encourage positive behaviour, confidence and meaningful participation in school life
