Are you an experienced SEND Teacher, SEN Teacher, or Primary Teacher with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? An Outstanding Ofsted-rated primary school in Sutton is seeking a compassionate and dedicated teacher to join its experienced SEND team from September. This rewarding opportunity involves teaching a small class of pupils aged 4–11 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, and Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD). You will play a vital role in delivering personalised learning, supporting communication and emotional regulation, and helping every child reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for pupils with ASD, ADHD, and PMLD.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
  • Support pupils with communication, emotional regulation, behaviour, and personal care where required.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and the wider SEND team.
  • Create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and independence.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to ongoing assessments and reviews.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or substantial UK teaching experience in a similar SEND setting.
  • Experience working with pupils with Autism, ADHD, PMLD, or other complex learning needs.
  • Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching practices and differentiated learning.
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills.
  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach with outstanding communication skills.
  • A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for children with special educational needs.
