About the Role:
- Based in Newton Abbot
- Salary between £24,500-£34,500, depending on qualifications and experience.
- Hours are 8.30-4.30
- The position is permanent (Temp to perm)
- Starting in October 2026 (or as soon as possible)
About You:
- Experiencing of teaching or tutoring mathematics lessons, including A-level and GCSE (or equivalent) are required for this position.
- Confidence in forming relationships with students who have SEND needs and may be reluctant to engage.
- A passion for helping delivering lessons on a1:1 or small group basis.
- Someone who is a team player and is friendly and approachable.
- You do not have have to have QTS for this position. However, qualifications are desirable.
About the School:
- An independent specialist provision who welcome students with ASD, ADHD and complex needs with an EHCP.
- Students are mainly post 16 and are working towards GCSE and A-level qualifications
- Students require support with regulating and accessing a curriculum tailored to their needs and pace of learning.
- There is an emphasis on staff culture, work life balance and team support.
- Students respond well to the bespoke support and learning behaviours, in general, are very positive.
