Axcis Education are working with a Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) school located near Bromsgrove. The school are seeking an experienced SEND teacher to support a KS3 cohort, with the role starting in September. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced SEND teacher looking for a new challenge. The role involves teaching a KS3 class who are currently working at a KS2 level. The children predominantly have complex needs and autism. The role will involve tailoring classroom support and delivering engaging, accessible lessons for pupils of all abilities.

This is a full-time teaching position, working Monday to Friday during term time, 8:30am – 4:00pm.

The Role:
  • Teaching a KS3 class who have complex needs and autism
  • Planning, tailoring and differentiating work to meet a range of abilities and Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Providing inclusive classroom support
  • Liaising with staff members, SENCOs and parents to support pupil progress
Requirements:
  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Previous experience teaching children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and differentiation
  • A caring, patient and nurturing nature, with the ability to foster positive and meaningful relationships
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or the willingness to apply for one
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30am – 4:00pm)
