Teaching Assistant - part time • Hockley
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant to work in a school based in Hockley.
The hours will be 8:30am - 12:30pm starting from the 2nd of November.
The Teaching Assistant will work in partnership with teachers to support students’ learning, progress and attainment, helping them achieve their full potential. The role involves supporting access to the curriculum, promoting independence, building self-esteem and encouraging positive behaviour and social inclusion.
Key Responsibilities
- Support teachers in delivering effective lessons and achieving learning objectives.
- Support students’ individual learning needs, including SEND.
- Encourage independent learning, confidence and self-esteem.
- Deliver targeted individual and small-group interventions.
- Promote positive behaviour in line with the academy’s behaviour policy.
- Support students’ social, emotional, mental health, wellbeing and personal care needs.
- Contribute to a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
In addition, you must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face to face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.
