Are you looking to make a real difference close to home? We are recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to work in partnership with a respected special school in Cheltenham known for its inclusive spirit, creativity and hands-on learning.

Why this role matters:

Join a school that’s rated Good by Ofsted following its inspection in May 2024, where inspectors praised how pupils are happy, feel safe and respond well to adults using their smart “zones of regulation” to stay calm and respectful. You’ll be joining a community that lives by its motto of “Learning for Life”, offering a mix of academic, vocational and practical experiences—think farm sessions, residential trips, travel training and a rich focus on communication and independence.

What we’re looking for:

Rather than experience, we value someone with the right personality, motivations and values. You could be a local graduate, youth worker, sports coach, teaching assistant or support worker who’s keen to work meaningfully with vulnerable young learners. Your empathy, patience and enthusiasm matter more than your resume.

The role:

  • Full-time, term-time: 8:30 am – 3:30 pm, Monday to Friday
  • Starts ASAP, with potential to become permanent after an 18-week settling-in period
  • ÂŁ13.69 per hour

Who this is for:

  • Graduates hoping to shine in a role that’s about heart as much as skill
  • Youth workers, sports coaches or support workers craving impact

Shared values: teamwork, inclusion, creativity, and building independence in young people.

If you’re someone who cares deeply, has a positive outlook and is keen to help children flourish, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today to be considered for this role.
