Learning Support Assistant - post-16 college SE27, Lambeth

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with SEND
  • Support learners during vocational courses, classroom activities, and life skills sessions
  • Encourage communication, social interaction, independence, and positive behaviour
  • Assist students in working towards EHCP targets and personal outcomes
  • Support community-based learning and employability programmes
  • Provide personal care where required

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Experience in education, care, support work, youth work, healthcare, or SEND settings
  • A patient, caring, and adaptable approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Confidence supporting young people with additional needs
  • A genuine passion for helping students achieve their potential

This role would suit learning support assistants, teaching assistants, support workers, care assistants, healthcare assistants, youth workers, psychology graduates, autism support workers, and SEND practitioners.
