Axcis Education are supporting an independent SEND provision in Newton Abbot, who are looking for a full time Science Tutor to deliver bespoke science lessons to a post 16 student with ASD and complex needs on a 1:1 basis. The working hours for this role are from 8.30 to 4:30, with pay rate ranging from £130-£145 a day, depending on previous science tutoring experience. This is a temp to perm position, following a successful induction period.
The successful candidate will design and deliver personalised science lessons that meet the student’s individual learning needs, interests and aspirations. You will be part of a highly supportive team that works collaboratively to help every learner overcome barriers and achieve their potential.

Requirements:
- Strong Science subject knowledge.
- Experience tutoring science at KS4 and A-level.
- Experience working with vulnerable young people or learners with additional needs is desirable but not essential.
- A nurturing, patient and positive approach to building relationships with students.
