Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant, Teaching Assistant, or SEND Support Worker looking for a rewarding role in a secondary school? Axcis Education is recruiting for a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a welcoming and inclusive secondary academy in Havering. This is an excellent opportunity to support students across Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4), helping young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) achieve their full potential in a supportive learning environment.
The Role
- Supporting pupils across KS3 and KS4 within mainstream classroom settings
- Assisting students with SEND, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs), speech and language difficulties, and moderate learning needs
- Breaking down tasks and adapting learning activities to improve understanding and engagement
- Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions where required
- Working collaboratively with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff
- Promoting independence, resilience, and positive behaviour for learning
- Supporting pupils during transitions and throughout the school day
- Helping to create a calm, inclusive, and positive classroom environment

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
