This is a unique opportunity for a HLTA to join a highly regarded SEND school in Dawlish, Devon to start in September. Axcis are looking for an experienced HLTA to join the team to work throughout KS1 and KS2. As part of the post you will need to provide cover for classes for part of the day whilst a class teacher is working elsewhere. The majority of the post will be focused on small interventions, covering PPA time and general TA work. The school offers excellent long-term progression opportunities for its staff.
To be successful as a HLTA you must be proactive, lively, and have the ability to form positive bonds with pupils. The school offers high-quality training and support where needed. This is an excellent long-term opportunity to join an impeccable school that will appreciate your time and effort.
General points: 8.45am-3.45pm, Full-time, Monday to Friday.
Duties may include:
- Work with groups of children in activities set by the teacher.
- Help with resources such as printing, photocopying, and exhibiting.
- Eliminate resources after class.
- Work in the classroom assisting the teacher.
- The role involves supporting SEND pupils with ASC, complex needs and communication difficulties.
