English Teacher – Maternity Cover (September Start)
4 Days per Week (Monday-Thursday)
Secondary Setting – Years 7–11
Axcis Education are currently recruiting for a specialist English Teacher to join a secondary setting from September on a part-time basis, working 4 days per week (Monday to Thursday). This is a maternity cover position expected to run until March/April, teaching English across Years 7–11. The successful candidate will be a qualified English specialist with experience delivering engaging and differentiated lessons at secondary level.
The Role:
- Teaching English to students in Years 7–11
- Planning and delivering creative, engaging lessons
- Monitoring progress and supporting attainment
- Working collaboratively with the wider teaching team
- Maternity cover from September until approximately March/April
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- English specialism essential
- Experience teaching secondary English across KS3 and KS4
- Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
You must be suitably qualified for the position advertised and be prepared to attend a face-to-face interview with Axcis to demonstrate your suitability for this role.
