Axcis Education are working closely to support a well-regarded Secondary SEMH Provision in Torbay, who require a full time permanent (temp to perm) Key Stage 3 Teacher, for their Year 8 cohort, from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a nurturing, inclusive environment and is committed to making a meaningful impact on the lives of young people with additional needs.

  • Days: Monday to Friday (Full Time)
  • Location: Torbay, Devon
  • Setting: Secondary SEMH Provision in Torbay
  • Salary: Paid against Main Pay Scale for Qualified or Unqualified Teachers (Daily Equivalent)
  • Type of Role: Temp to Perm

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with SEND, particularly SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) and ADHD
  • Ability to build positive, supportive relationships with students
  • Confidence in managing behaviour and delivering learning in a creative, flexible way
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or experience as a Cover Supervisor in a similar environment is highly desirable
