A supportive and inclusive school in Edgware is looking for a SEND Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a pupil requiring additional support. The role involves helping the pupil access the curriculum, develop independence, and achieve personal learning goals.
The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with SEND and a genuine passion for helping young people succeed.
Key Duties
- Deliver focused 1:1 support within and outside the classroom.
- Adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
- Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
- Support the pupil's social and emotional development.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in a school, care, or SEND setting.
- Understanding of Autism Spectrum Condition, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
- Calm, resilient, and adaptable personality.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare.
