Pay: From £92.63 per day Job Type: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm) Start Date: Immediate and Ongoing Opportunities Available Axcis Education is currently recruiting for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and supportive nursery setting in Coventry. This rewarding role involves supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), helping them develop essential social, emotional, communication, and learning skills during a crucial stage of their education. You will work closely with nursery staff to create a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. This opportunity is ideal for experienced Nursery Practitioners, Teaching Assistants, Learning Support Assistants, Childcare Practitioners, Support Workers, or individuals with experience working with young children.
Key Responsibilities
- Support children with learning and play-based activities in line with the EYFS curriculum.
- Encourage children's social, emotional, and communication development.
- Help create a positive, safe, and stimulating learning environment.
- Support children with daily routines, transitions, and personal care where required.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.
- Assist with indoor and outdoor learning activities.
- Promote children's independence, confidence, and wellbeing.
- Follow safeguarding and nursery policies at all times.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children in a nursery, school, childcare, or similar setting.
- Understanding of EYFS principles and child development is desirable.
- Patient, nurturing, and approachable personality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
