We are currently recruiting a dedicated, resilient and compassionate SEND Learning Support Assistant to join the SEND provision of a mainstream primary school in Bracknell.

This is a rewarding but challenging opportunity to support children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), including pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and complex behavioural needs.

The role will involve providing support on a 1:1 basis and within small groups, helping pupils access learning, develop social skills and manage their emotions and behaviour.

You will be working with children who may display extreme challenging behaviour, so the ability to remain calm, patient and consistent in challenging situations is essential.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience supporting children with SEND, ideally within a school or specialist setting, alongside experience managing challenging behaviour.

Experience working with individuals with ASD, learning difficulties or additional needs would be highly desirable.

We would also consider candidates with relevant experience supporting adults with additional needs.

We are looking for someone who is resilient, empathetic, proactive and confident in managing challenging situations.

You must be able to build positive relationships with pupils, establish trust and remain calm under pressure.

Previous experience managing challenging behaviour is essential.

The position is full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, with a daily rate of £92.63.

The school is based in Bracknell and offers on-site parking.

Candidates travelling from outside the Bracknell area are recommended to drive, as having access to their own transport would be beneficial.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children with additional needs and making a genuine difference to their education, development and everyday experiences.

This is a temporary position, unless stated otherwise.

Axcis is an equal opportunities employer and as such we do not discriminate based on age, gender, disability, race or any other equal opportunities criteria.

Salary / Pay Rate will be dependent on your skills and experience.
