Are you experienced in PEG feeding and looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to a child's school experience? We are recruiting for a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a Reception-aged pupil at a welcoming primary school in the Bourton-on-the-Water area. This is a full-time position starting in September, providing consistent support throughout the school day, including administering PEG feeds and helping the child access learning and daily activities. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with PEG feeding experience who enjoys working in a caring, supportive environment and wants to play a key role in a young child's development and wellbeing.

The Role

  • Provide dedicated support to a Reception pupil throughout the school day
  • Safely administer PEG feeds in line with training and care plans
  • Support the child's learning, communication and engagement in classroom activities
  • Promote independence, confidence and inclusion
  • Work closely with teaching staff, SEN professionals and parents to ensure the child's needs are met

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience administering PEG feeds
  • Confidence supporting individuals with medical or additional needs
  • A caring, patient and reliable approach
  • Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday

Desirable Experience

  • Experience working with children in a school, nursery or childcare setting
  • Experience supporting children with additional needs
  • Experience providing PEG feeding support in healthcare, care or adult support settings
