The Role
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual needs
- Support emotional regulation, behaviour management and engagement in learning
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENDCO to implement personalised support strategies
- Build a positive and trusting relationship that promotes confidence and independence
- Adapt learning activities to ensure the pupil can access the curriculum successfully
- Support transitions, routines and social interactions throughout the school day
- Encourage positive participation, resilience and personal development
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within an educational or SEND setting
- A good understanding of ASC and SEMH needs
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A calm, patient and resilient approach
- Confidence supporting behaviour and emotional regulation
- A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
